3D MONTAGE ARCHITECTURAL FURNITURE
TODAY,We have a lecture called 'preparing for your degree show',made me reflective thinking more about my project.Suddenly,I fond i got lost for a period of time.I was first inspirited by a montage photograph which combine different existing architecture together ,and i did sort of research about montage concept.I really want to make a project combine existing architecture using my way and add Mobile concept to present a new montage architecture conception.
But it is impossible choose a real site in London ,so i decide to use furniture to present this concept which i called it '3d montage architectural furniture'.
![]()
This is actually opposite to my conception.I should do in the opposite way which is actually what i suppose to.find some special architecture for me ,using architecture and space elements in terms of present as a furniture. That's architectural furniture truly i want it to be.
27th FEBRUARY 2011TODAY, is sunday,i finished part of my physical model yestoday.I think i have to have a stop here and reflectice think of relevant references, and also could find some direction from Robin next Wednesday. It should be not furniture, not arhcitecture model, not just one but go forward one finally.I have decided to make a furniture to represent the architectural concept which would be used in the real architecture designing.SO It must have architectural elements and methodology used into, rather than just make a commercial 3d montage furniture.ADD a mobil concept is quite important aspact for this project, cause it is the reason of montage concept.I am looking forward a real building with a special structure allow architectural blocks with different shape, color, historial elements, properties built in,which I think it is unruled and ruled.
Imagine the concept come true, A real public building combined various blocks together based on each cliet's request shows a new face of the whole one.And it could be changed after the property's contract finished, then another new one born.Or it could be a private house built with several individual blocks ,any part of the house could be modefied easily or totally changed to another one. That could simply solve some cliets want to rebuild their house or enlarge their house by reducing the burget. For the same reson I could aslo use this methodology on interior designing based on young people love to change their way of life.

ESSAY PLAN 2
Title:
"Differences between art and design lie not so much in how they look as what they do."
Approach:
Consider how the designers' attitudes to both their audiences and their works have changed in a revolutionary way which is mostly same as artists.
Introduction:
There is a glorious period of design in the 1980s,"anything could be art", even a bed in a room. A pair of old shoes on the floor could be taken to the gallery. Why design could not be? Recently, audiences become more confused about art and design works of similarly how they look. Essentially, this has resulted in the attitudes of creators to both audiences and their works changing.Go back to the origenal reason of the works, what defined them as art work or design work is the atitude of the creators to both their audiences and works.
Thesis statement:Basicaly,I agree with Brady for the differences between art and design not lie only in how they look, as what he mentioned the popuse, how they made, cireria, audience, materials(what they do). But,the orignal way of distigushing a art work or design work depends on the atitude of the creators what have mentioned up of the plan. From the examples of the atitude of two architects can be boviously seen that architcture designers want to creat a work to present their conceptial idea to the audiences through an architecture ,then way of "what they do" of the architects will be changed to another way similar to an art wok.Under this situation, the work could be seen as an art work.
Paragraph1:
Main idea: Give the architect Mies for example who creat farnsworth house based on interaction to others(a feeling of light, openness, and freedom of movement at the ground level etg.) showing the atitude to his audience is mostly same as the artist Ernesto Neto.
Evidence:The well known architect Mies won all the audiences for the concept of without solid exterior walls, full-height draperies on a perimeter track allow freedom to provide full or partial privacy when and where desired. The house has been described as sublime, a temple hovering between heaven and earth, a poem, a work of art.

Sources2: Ernesto Neto's exibition guide of hayward gallary
Paragraph2:
Main idea: The attitude of the famous architect Utzon's work based on copying the his architecture project of Sydney opera house is the same as artists.
Evidence: Architect Utzon says his design was inspired by the simple act of peeling an orangeorange: the 14 shells of the building, if combined, would form a perfect sphere.which he want to use his own words to present a sphere of the building according to the require of the goverment. For this the thesis of him is like Heigeer said:“A work of art has a inner meaning, expressed its outer form,as the soul or mind is expressed by the body.”
Sources3: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J%C3%B8rn_Utzon#Opera_House_design
Sources4: A Heigeer Dictionary,1992,165
Conclusion:
I basically agree with Brady that the differences between art and design lie in what he mentioned (what they do).On the other hand, as the two architects' works showing their atitude to their audiences is mostly same to the artists which metioned such as Ernesto Neto and showing Utzon's atitude to his work is like Heigeer defined what is a work of art.Consequently, We have powerful reason to believe that design could be art.

The New Decor and Ernesto Neto at The Hayward Gallery
Step into the Hayword Gallery this summer, many buzzwords that are linked to interior design such as "space, sculpture, furnature"surfaced.
One will be astonished to find the works of 36 artists from 22 countries being exhibit on the lower floor of the exhibition hall. The artists transform the appearance of daily furniture into a different set of interior design that overturn the normally accepted.
Under the topic of "New Decor" the artists have a knack to represent the political and social problems. They not only display their exhibitions, but also have the objective of exploring new ideas in interior design.
Two such good examples are the "Motorway Flyover" by LOS Carpinteros from Cuba and "Smokes Spheres" by Angela Bulloch from Canada. However, in my humble opinion, there are some need to improved as curators,Because sometimes I was tired from matching the title to its exhibit, and some are arranged in confusion, which the curators need to give more rational space to these magical artists.
One finished with the exhibition on the lower floor. A large-scale sculpture waits you on the upper floor. “Edges of the world”by brilliant artist Ernesto Neto, explores the design on tension and weight, by involving biomorsphere forms. With Nero’s unique concept, the sculpture was arranged with a rein that spread out of the gallery’s top floor and terraces.
Visitors would naturally be attracted to “Edges of the World”, because of its colorful and relaxable space. Upon entering the exhibit, everyone will enjoy Nero’s installation which aims to fuse human’s body with our city. Walking through the tunnel-like passages, one will be able to appreciate the wonderful scene of pieces works, enjoy slightly surreal happiness in the miniature cityscape, walk to future in the open air, as well as dipping into small pool which combine variety levels of technology, even we can climb and get into its heart to listen to the heartbeat as if listen ourselves. The success of Nero’s exhibition is built on his ability to display his idea of dream land using a mixture of sculpture, landscape, space, architecture, urban design, and also one who put these ideas into practice.
